For instance, placing light switches slightly lower, dropping the height of some kitchen counters, and adding a fridge with parallel vertical doors can all play a key part in making a home easily accessible for adults in any season of life. Designers of 55+ communities are merging attractive design with user-friendly features so that these living spaces last for the long term.

In some cases we run into customers who associate retirement living or 55+ communities with isolation and lack of access to communities. Of course local housing markets can change these dynamics, but by-and-large, we see people choosing a 55+ community because it isn’t a financial burden.
